Introducing Tsuki Hana

Tsuki Hana, the new collection designed by Oneworks under the direction of Andrea Sanguineti and unveiled at Fuorisalone 2026, is expanding into a new family of furnishings that now includes freestanding partitions, seating, screens, stools and side tables.

Conceived for contemporary spaces, and particularly for the hospitality sector, the new line stems from ongoing research into the potential applications of igusa — the natural fibre traditionally used to make tatami mats — in interior design. Its structural and aesthetic qualities are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

For Oneworks, the project begins with the material itself and its distinctive characteristics: its softness to the touch, natural fragrance, texture and ability to interact with its surroundings become guiding elements in the development of furnishings designed to accommodate different configurations and uses. The plant fibre, which immediately evokes the philosophy of Japanese living, is thus removed from its original context and transformed into a surface capable of defining new ways of experiencing space.

“The design team took the time to understand these qualities, allowing them to guide every decision,” explains Andrea Sanguineti, Director – Interior Concept & Product Design at Oneworks. “The result is a thoughtful and respectful vocabulary of forms and typologies — respectful of the fibre, of the craftsmanship that shapes it, and of the culture from which it originates.”

The result is a collection of essential forms in which material, shape and function converge in a contemporary language. The seating, in particular, features high, enveloping backrests that create a sense of intimacy and protection, even within shared environments. The screens, meanwhile, allow spaces to be articulated and more intimate areas to be defined without disrupting visual continuity.

“We wanted the design to feel evident,” adds Andrea Sanguineti. “Coherent with the material, with the culture of Look into Nature, and with our own way of working. Igusa has always defined a place. We wanted it to create a place wherever it is.”

With Tsuki Hana, Look into Nature continues its exploration of a design language that brings nature, Japanese culture and contemporary living into dialogue. Through its collaboration with Oneworks, the brand gives shape to a versatile collection in which comfort, functionality and material quality come together to create environments that feel more intimate, welcoming and harmonious.
